Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large pot, cook the ground beef or Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
Stir in the marinara sauce, dried basil, and dried oregano. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta, ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella, and half of the grated Parmesan. Mix well.
Pour half of the pasta mixture into a greased baking dish. Spread half of the meat sauce over the pasta. Repeat with the remaining pasta and sauce.
Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
