Main Ingredients
- 2 lbs Beef bones preferably with marrow
- 1 large Onion quartered
- 2 cloves Garlic smashed
- 2 stalks Celery chopped
- 2 large Carrots chopped
- 2 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon Pepper to taste
- 12 cups Water
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Place the beef bones on a baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes.
3. Transfer the roasted bones to a large stockpot. Add the onion, garlic, celery, carrots, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.
4. Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 8-12 hours.
5. Strain the broth through a fine-mesh strainer and discard the solids.
6. Let the broth cool, then refrigerate. Skim off any fat that solidifies on the surface before using.
