Beef on Weck Recipe
A classic sandwich from Buffalo, NY, featuring roast beef on a kummelweck roll.

- 2 lb Beef roast
- 4 Kummelweck rolls
- 1 cup Beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Horseradish
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Season the beef roast with salt and pepper.
Place the beef roast in a roasting pan and cook for about 30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare.
Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.
Warm the beef broth in a small saucepan.
Dip the sliced beef in the warm broth before placing it on the kummelweck rolls.
Spread horseradish on the top half of the roll, if desired.
Serve immediately.
