  • 4 cups fresh Door County cherries pitted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 bottle brandy 750 ml

Instructions 

  1. 1. Place the pitted cherries in a large jar.
  2. 2. Add the sugar to the jar, covering the cherries.
  3. 3. Pour the brandy over the cherries and sugar.
  4. 4. Seal the jar tightly and shake well to mix.
  5. 5. Store the jar in a cool, dark place for at least 30 days, shaking occasionally.
  6. 6. After 30 days, strain the liquid into bottles and discard the cherries.
