  • 4 cups beef broth
  • ¼ cup butter unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 cup gruyere cheese grated
  • 6 slices baguette toasted

Instructions 

  1. 1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 20 minutes.
  2. 2. Transfer onions to the slow cooker. Add beef broth, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
