Ham and Split Pea Soup Recipe
A hearty and comforting soup made with ham and split peas.

Main Ingredients
- 1 lb Dried split peas
- 1 lb Ham bone or diced ham
- 1 Large onion, chopped
- 2 Carrots, chopped
- 2 Celery stalks, chopped
- 3 cloves Garlic, minced
- 8 cups Chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
1. Rinse the split peas under cold water.
2. In a large pot, combine all ingredients.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
4. Remove the ham bone, chop any meat, and return to the pot.
5. Adjust seasoning to taste and serve hot.
