Main Ingredients
- 3 large Eggs separated
- ½ cup Granulated sugar divided
- ½ cup All-purpose flour sifted
- ¼ teaspoon Salt
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ¼ cup Powdered sugar for dusting
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with half of the granulated sugar until thick and pale. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with the salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add the remaining granulated sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg yolk mixture into the egg whites. Sift the flour over the mixture and fold gently until combined.
- Transfer the batter to a piping bag fitted with a round tip. Pipe 3-inch long strips onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
- Dust the piped batter with powdered sugar. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the ladyfingers are lightly golden and firm to the touch.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
