- 8 oz Elbow macaroni
- 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup All-purpose flour
- 2 cups Milk
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ¼ teaspoon Black pepper
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for about 1 minute.
4. Gradually whisk in the milk, and cook until the mixture thickens and bubbles.
5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and mix well.
7. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
