Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Scallops fresh, large
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper freshly ground, to taste
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice freshly squeezed

Instructions 

  1. 1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. 2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. 3. Add the scallops to the skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and opaque in the center.
  4. 4. Add the butter and garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 1 minute, basting the scallops with the melted butter.
  5. 5. Remove the scallops from the skillet and drizzle with lemon juice. Serve immediately.
