Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 800 g Canned Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • to taste Black Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Pour in the canned tomatoes, salt, sugar, dried basil, and dried oregano. Stir well.
  5. 5. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Season with black pepper to taste. Serve over your favorite pasta.
