Ingredients 

Custard

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pastry

  • 1 package puff pastry thawed

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, milk, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened.
  3. Remove from heat and whisk in egg yolks and vanilla extract. Let cool.
  4. Roll out puff pastry and cut into 12 circles. Press into a muffin tin.
  5. Fill each pastry shell with the cooled custard mixture.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the tops are browned and the pastry is crisp.
  7. Let cool before serving.
