Ingredients

  • 1 piece Prime Rib Roast (about 6 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Fresh Rosemary (chopped)

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Rub the prime rib with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and rosemary.
  3. Place the prime rib in a roasting pan, fat side up.
  4. Roast for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C).
  5. Continue roasting until the meat reaches your desired level of doneness, about 2 hours for medium-rare.
  6. Let the roast rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.
