Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • ¾ cup warm water
  • as needed oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add vegetable oil and warm water, mix until dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thickness and cut into squares or triangles.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Fry the dough pieces until golden brown and puffed, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with honey or powdered sugar.
