Main Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ¾ cup warm water
- as needed oil for frying
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. 
- Add vegetable oil and warm water, mix until dough forms. 
- Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5 minutes. 
- Roll out the dough to about ¼ inch thickness and cut into squares or triangles. 
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). 
- Fry the dough pieces until golden brown and puffed, about 2-3 minutes per side. 
- Drain on paper towels and serve warm with honey or powdered sugar.
