Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dried red beans soaked overnight
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 medium Onion chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 stalk Celery chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper to taste
  • 4 cups Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse and soak the red beans overnight.
  2. 2. In a large pot, sauté the onion, garlic, bell pepper, and celery until soft.
  3. 3. Add the soaked beans, water, thyme, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 45 minutes, or until beans are tender.
  5. 5. Cook the rice according to package instructions.
  6. 6. Serve the beans over the cooked rice.
