Ingredients

  • ½ cup rice uncooked
  • 4 cups milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a medium saucepan, bring 1 ½ cups of water to a boil. Stir in the rice and reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. 2. In another saucepan, combine the cooked rice, milk, sugar, and salt. Cook over medium heat until thick and creamy, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. 3. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Serve warm or chilled.
