Southern Grits Casserole

Main Ingredients
- 1 cup grits
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup milk
- 1 pound sausage cooked and crumbled
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large eggs beaten
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Add salt and grits, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in butter and milk. Add cheese and stir until melted.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked grits, sausage, and beaten eggs. Mix well.
Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Bake for 45 minutes or until set and golden on top.
Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
