Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add minced garlic, red bell pepper, and carrot. Cook for another 5 minutes.
Stir in ground cumin and chili powder, cooking for 1 minute.
Add vegetable broth, black beans, diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
Stir in lime juice and chopped cilantro before serving.
