Strawberry Shortcake Recipe
A classic dessert with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- ⅔ cup Milk
Strawberries and Cream
- 1 lb Fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Gradually stir in milk until a soft dough forms.
Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
While the shortcakes are baking, mix strawberries with sugar and let sit for at least 10 minutes.
Whip the cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
Split the shortcakes, fill with strawberries and cream, and serve.
