Strawberry Shortcake Recipe
A classic dessert with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.

Shortcake
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Baking powder
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- ½ cup Unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
- ⅔ cup Milk
Strawberries and Cream
- 1 lb Fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- ¼ cup Sugar
- 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). 
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 
- Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. 
- Gradually stir in milk until a soft dough forms. 
- Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. 
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. 
- While the shortcakes are baking, mix strawberries with sugar and let sit for at least 10 minutes. 
- Whip the cream with vanilla extract until soft peaks form. 
- Split the shortcakes, fill with strawberries and cream, and serve.
