Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 jar Grape Leaves
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce

Instructions 

  1. 1. Rinse the rice under cold water.
  2. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice, ground beef, chopped onion, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  3. 3. Lay out a grape leaf, shiny side down. Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center and roll it up, tucking in the sides.
  4. 4. Place the stuffed grape leaves in a large pot, seam side down. Repeat until all leaves are used.
  5. 5. Pour tomato sauce over the grape leaves and add enough water to cover them.
  6. 6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 60 minutes.
