- 1 cup Rice
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 jar Grape Leaves
- 1 cup Onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
- 1 cup Tomato Sauce
1. Rinse the rice under cold water.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine rice, ground beef, chopped onion, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
3. Lay out a grape leaf, shiny side down. Place a spoonful of the mixture in the center and roll it up, tucking in the sides.
4. Place the stuffed grape leaves in a large pot, seam side down. Repeat until all leaves are used.
5. Pour tomato sauce over the grape leaves and add enough water to cover them.
6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 60 minutes.
