Main Ingredients
- 2 cups sushi rice
- 4 sheets nori
- 1 lb fresh fish (like tuna or salmon) sliced thin
- 1 cup julienned vegetables like cucumber, carrot, avocado
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
1. Cook sushi rice according to package instructions. Mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt, then fold into cooked rice.
2. Lay a sheet of nori on a sushi mat. Spread an even layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
3. Arrange slices of fish and julienned vegetables in a line along the bottom edge of the rice.
4. Roll the nori tightly using the sushi mat, pressing firmly to seal. Slice in half if desired.
5. Serve with soy sauce for dipping.
