  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 can Kidney Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Pinto Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes
  • 1 can Green Chilies chopped
  • 1 large Onion chopped
  • 1 large Green Bell Pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano dried
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and garlic to the pot. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
  3. 3. Stir in the chili powder, ground cumin, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Cook for another minute.
  4. 4. Add the kidney beans, pinto beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, green chilies, and water. Stir well to combine.
  5. 5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot.
