Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. 2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. 3. Pour in the milk and let it simmer until mostly evaporated.
  4. 4. Add the red wine and let it simmer until mostly evaporated.
  5. 5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for at least an hour.
  6. 6. Serve over your favorite pasta.
